Today is an exciting day. The CipherPoint Software team has been hard at work creating a new approach to securing content in SharePoint sites. We have released today two new pieces to our SharePoint data security solution, CipherPointKM™ and CipherPointSP Enterprise™. These products are described below and join our existing CipherPointSP™ product to provide complete compliance and information security solution for content in Microsoft SharePoint sites.

The CipherPoint solution fills  gaps in SharePoint data security and compliance. These include protecting against the insider threat, and generally locking down SharePoint  sites to deliver enterprise-grade encryption and access control. In addition, the existence of a solution like CipherPoint's will expand the use of SharePoint as more organizations will be willing to put sensitive content in SharePoint and rest assured this content will remain confidential.

The  software components from CipherPoint include CipherPointSP Enterprise, which delivers transparent content encryption for SharePoint sites, and CipherPointKM, which is an enterprise-grade centralized data security console and key management console.

All three products are available now, and are priced attractively. In addition, we have a free trial version of CipherPointSP available that makes it easy to evaluate the technology, and to get started with securing content in SharePoint.
